    About the Position:

    The Institute of Biochemistry at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a confirmation-track appointment in Biochemistry at the rank of Instructor I beginning September 1, 2020

    The successful applicant is expected to possess excellent communication skills and provide inspiring instruction in Biochemistry courses. The candidate will be responsible for: 1) teaching existing Undergraduate Biochemistry courses, 2) developing Biochemistry courses in their area of expertise, and 3) providing guidance to students in our biochemistry programs. The ideal candidate will be motivated to network with regional educators and researchers in academia, government and industry to enhance Biochemistry teaching and promote the Institute’s commitment to experiential learning.

    Qualifications:

    The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, or a related field, with some postdoctoral or other relevant research or teaching experience in Biochemistry. The successful candidate will be dedicated to and have an aptitude for teaching undergraduate courses. Previous teaching history, course development experience, and knowledge of modern evidence-based approaches to teach undergraduate science will be considered assets.
