Why Become a SABER Member?

When you become a member of SABER you join the world's largest organization dedicated to scientifically exploring how to teach biology most effectively. In addition to the benefits of being in and supporting a research community, you will receive the following benefits:

  • Ability to post events related to biology education research on the Events Board

SABER Membership Dues

Membership dues are paid annually at the following rates:

Faculty/staff/administrators: $50

Postdocs: $35

Part-time faculty: $35

Graduate students: $25

Undergraduates: $10


Important note: If SABER membership dues would pose a financial hardship for you, we do have a reduced-fee membership option ($10, see rules and terms) available for one year only. You will see this membership level available when you apply for membership, and you will enter justification for your reduced-fee need in the application.
