    Salary Range: $55,000 to $62,000

    Position Summary: The Biological Sciences (BioSci) Program is seeking a fixed term faculty member to join the BioSci Program teaching team. The successful candidate will join a diverse group of educators and discipline-based education researchers dedicated to providing high-quality undergraduate biology education. The initial appointment will be for one year (9 months) with expectation of continuing renewal based on satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will work with teams of faculty to develop curriculum for introductory biology lecture and lab courses and teach in these courses. Depending on the needs of the program, responsibilities may include: teaching in introductory biology lecture, lab, or honors courses designed to actively engage life-science majors in three-dimensional learning; training, supervising, and evaluating GTAs and ULAs; and working collaboratively in teams to develop and improve curriculum.

    Qualifications: A Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields is required. Preference will be given to candidates with broad research expertise and experience teaching undergraduate laboratories that include research projects.
