The Undergraduate Research Scholars Program (URS) at the University of Wisconsin - Madison brings motivated first and second year undergraduates, including those from underrepresented populations, into the University's community of researchers and artists. Each year, about 180 URS student Scholars earn academic credit for assisting faculty/staff/graduate student URS Mentors with research or creative work. URS Scholars also participate in weekly seminar sections facilitated by pairs of experienced undergraduate peer-mentors called URS Fellows. URS is a marquee High Impact Practice in the College of Letters & Science (L&S), and serves all schools and colleges on campus by request.
