The Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCB) is hiring a full-time academic year career track Assistant Professor of Practice beginning August 2022. The successful candidate will teach 6 units per semester, participate in department service around undergraduate education and curriculum development, and have the opportunity to devote 10% of their time to research or scholarly activities. Teaching responsibilities include at least one semester of Introductory Biology, with additional classes determined by the candidate’s expertise and interests. The candidate will teach some courses in-person, with class sizes up to 400 students, and others in the asynchronous online modality. Career track faculty have the option to teach online courses during the summer to supplement their salary.
This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.
