Just as it is really starting to heat up outside, it is time to taper for the 4th Annual SABER fun run/walk. You have done all the training you will need for this FUN event. This is intended as an opportunity for all SABER participants to meet others and burn off the carbo-loading from the night before.
Saturday, July 27th: The run/walk begins with an optional yoga stretch at 6:20 on the NW corner of Beacon and Harvard St. (half a block north of the hotel). There is a meditation sculpture there.
6:30 – official start time. Route of less than 5K (~2.9 miles) across the river and up one (or two) hills (link to route is here for those who want to ‘visualize’ their race).
Pacers will help you stay on course. Email Joe Dauer (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are willing to volunteer as a pacer for 12 min/mile or Walker groups.
Finish line festivities – conversation over water, bagels, and bananas. To reduce waste, you can bring your own drinking apparatus and leave at start/finish area.
Just a reminder, this is not a sanctioned event; we are out for a morning stroll and you participate at your own risk.
Hope you will be able to make it!
