2019 Elections

This year the Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) is holding our first elections.

Elections are currently underway (May 1 - June 1)

If you are member, you will receive the ballot via email from Wild Apricot. If you have not received the email, confirm that you are a member by following these instructions. Contact Tessa Andrews (tandrews@uga.edu) with any questions about membership. If you are not yet a member, join now and you will receive an email with a link to the ballot.

Officers to be elected this year are:
Elected Term: 1 year as President, 1 year as Past President

*To facilitate continuity in leadership, Mary Pat Wenderoth will serve as the inaugural Past-President from Sept.1, 2019- Aug. 31, 2020

Elected Term: 1 year as President-Elect, 1 year as President, 1 year as Past President

Elected Term: 2 years (subsequently elected Secretaries will serve a term of 3 years)

Elected Term: 3 years

The time line for the 2019 elections is as follows:

March 1- April 15 - Nominating Committee solicit nominations 

April 15- April 30 - Final Candidates Confirmed by Nominating Committee

May 1 - Final Slate of Candidates provided to society at large

May 1 - June 1 - Open voting

June 8 - Contact elected officers

June 15 - Announce officers to SABER community

Sept. 1 - Officers take office Sept. 1
