    Postdoctoral Positions in STEM Education at the University of New Hampshire, in association with an NSF Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE) project, Professor Christopher Bauer, PI.  Project goals include improving scientific, mathematical, and metacognitive practices for students across gateway courses in physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology through a faculty learning community, peer undergraduate coaches (both PLTL Tutors and Learning Assistants), and coordinated curricular interventions. Appointment and professional development mentoring may be in any of these departments. Responsibilities include pedagogic research and development, assessment and course materials design and implementation, and application of either qualitative or quantitative tools, with opportunities for growth. Initial one-year appointment, with possibility of re-appointment, contingent on satisfactory performance, project scope, and availability of funds. Opportunities to teach or co-teach introductory courses may be available. Doctoral degree in disciplinary-based education research in a STEM field or science education, or in a STEM discipline with experience in disciplinary-based education research, is required.
