    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The School of Biological Sciences (https://biology.ucsd.edu/), Department of Neurobiology, invites applications for a faculty position in Neurobiology at the tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor level. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities will be to teach an undergraduate neurobiology laboratory course. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in electrophysiology or a related field and in fostering equity and inclusion and student success in undergraduate science education programs. In addition to teaching and service, the incumbent will advance science education through professional activities such as conducting and disseminating pedagogical research in science teaching methodologies, initiating new teaching methods or courses, and/or participation in writing textbooks.
