This project will develop, facilitate, and evaluate a series of regional Evolving the Culture of Biology (ECB) Workshops, designed to host teams of scholars from at least 60 unique institutions.  The workshops will focus on developing inclusive, evidence-based, teaching assistant (TA) professional development programs.

The postdoc will primarily be mentored by Erin Shortlidge (Portland State University), and will collaborate closely with the rest of the ECB team. The postdoc will learn and practice social science and discipline-based education research methods, while conducting research on the intersection of biology instructor identity, beliefs, practices, and context. The postdoc will work with the team on workshop development and facilitation of professional development, have opportunities to mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers, and collaborate and gain mentorship from a multi-institutional team.

This position may start as early as June 2023 with the possibility of renewal for up to four years. Review of applications will begin by the end of December 2022, and will continue until the position is filled. For more details and to apply, please visit: https://jobs.hrc.pdx.edu/postings/40234

    Best,

Erin (on behalf of the ECB team)
